There’s VALUE in using your time wisely because we only get so many hours in the day. However there’s also VALUE in consciously creating extra space.
The contrast between the two is this: sometimes we get so busy we feel “wall to wall” with meetings, kids, housework, volunteer, projects, etc.,
And by the time we find a bit of space our mindless go-to is to fritter. TV fritter. Scrolling fritter. Now, Frittering is OK if it’s conscious, but mindlessly zoning out on screens and scrolling will steal your time and tank your productivity. And then we get mad at ourselves, "Like WHY did I spend my time on THAT?"
Now, if you feel that way, cool! That’s your wisdom talking to you, telling you to spend time in a different way.
So let’s talk about 4 things you can do to strike a balance between the ultra busy and the fritter and finding conscious time to make the most in the spaces of your day.

WE NEED SPACE!!! Space in our minds, in our time, space for our breath (hold your mouth in front of a wall and try to breathe!). Space is where creation happens. Space is where calm happens. Space and time is when we ALLOW the universe to help us along VS. feeling like we have to constantly push our own agenda (that is exhausting!). So...embrace the space! :) Make some! Love it up!
How will you find and schedule extra space into your day? Most likely you have more than you think — you may be distracted (episode #43 reference!) on stuff that doesn’t matter to you — so if that goes away *poof!* you just found some space!
Time is finite. So it’s all about swapping in and out what matters to you and what does not. And while you do that...don’t expect to JAM it all in. I’m a production JUNKIE. I LOVE to jam stuff in. But when I do that, I don’t find my balance or happiness there. Create some space, create some flow, create some downtime, love time, creative time, breathwork time, me time...and everything else will flow much better. You’ll begin to feel like yourself again.
SO! My friends.
I hope this helped you today! If it did, share with others who need it. It’s OUR job to keep the goodness flowing. We all deserve good teachings and helpfulness in our lives — be a source of light and share this with others.
Til next time, as we keep bringing Ayurveda to life.
xo!
